I hit the bucket list target: to release my first app. Building, testing, reviewing software is one thing; letting it out in the wild is another.
On Sunday I announced to my customer that their Loyalty Card Scheme app was complete. I had run all the hardening one could feasibly perform without turning the app into Fort Knox. It’s robust, it works well and functionally fine.
Now comes criticism. There is no testing like a live scenario. Bugs. Workarounds. Exploits. Processes and flows I couldn’t consider.
I feel massively accomplished. But I’m nervous. That’s good, I’m out of my comfort zone. I’m learning again.
