It seems almost unreal about how the last 5 months have been after initially starting with Gemini created code; stitching together snippets of functioning code in Flutter. This was instrumental into helping me sew together a backend in Firebase, learn the security settings and feel my way around the options.
Now, fast forward and I’ve created 4 applications. A booking app for my wife’s grooming company (Wolf and Willow) A SOX compliancy readiness tool (ACCDR) a basic video game (Germline) and a tool for customer self-booking software cloning (Lemonade)
I am deeply into the woods with Github Copilot running Claude code. I’ve been using Gemini as a Project Manager and Firebase assistant and Notebook to create .md files for Claude Code, so I’m hopping between agents to build things. My first draft of some of these apps were three hours long.
The moral quandary remains, but presently at my own workplace, co-pilot has been rolled out to thousands of my colleagues. I am not a single person choosing to opt in or opt out. If you don’t adapt to the changing world, you’re simply working harder to catch up.
